ABOUT — Hutch Lourens is a Curaçaoan photographer based in Rotterdam. Coming from a background in social work and community building, Hutch uses his photography to explore the portrayal of communities. As imagery can be powerful and formative, it often reenforces a perception based on prejudice and stereotypes. By capturing images from within the communities, Hutch commits to imagery that goes beyond this perception.
